Bullying

Hello to you again, reading my words.

If at school you weren't part of the popular crowd, chances are you were a victim of such "school crime". Bullying is something I've never understood but always and I do mean Always have to deal with. All through my years in school I had to suffer it. Ever since I was 6 y.o. all the way to jr high and my first year in college. Even now as an adult (I'm 33), I have dealt with it at certain jobs. Last one in which this particular kind of bullying actually got me fired.
There was this 20-something year old. You know, the kind that has ugly, long, greasy hair, a face full of pimples and whose thinness resembles a praying mantis. Immature as a pre-schooler and as loud and just annoying or maybe more. You know? THAT guy. He kept bothering and bothering me. I'm not an easy target. I ignored him of course. Despite of him spreading lies about me and making petty comments. He kept telling everyone I did drugs and that I thought I was very beautiful. Which of course was all a lie, I didn't know whether I should laugh my butt off first and punch him later, do both things at the same time, or disregard all of his bull.. I did. I didn't pay attention at all to the lies and inventions he made up of me.
Truth is I never did any drugs (unlike him who smoke pot every single day) and I have Never thought of myself as beautiful. Not even if my makeup is working well that day.
If I have learned something and I have (the hard way) about bullies is that:
Haters will hate.
So let them hate on.  And also, don't take it personal. They don't really hate You. They hate their lives; themselves. That's why they pick on someone else, to vent. Of course it's not a valid excuse for them to do it but it's the reason they do it. What you need is NOT to believe what they tell you. If they say you're this or that, that you walk or talk in a funny way or that you'll never be cool, etc. Don't believe them.
Who are they to predict your future? Who are they to say No one can find your features or defects cute? They're nobody.
Bullies are just people who's parents have not paid attention to so far. That is probably the main reason they become bullies. No one really cares about them and they hate feeling lonely. So they take it out on someone else.
So shine on and do your thing. Don't let anyone put you down because you're original and yes, different. What's wrong with that? We're not carbon copies. That's what makes us Real.
Bottom line: They'll always be people who hate you or that don't like you and vice versa. After all, not everybody can like everybody. We're not pizza. ;)
